Education in America I believe is a flattener. Countries have recognized that Education is a big part in their society, economy, etc. in their country. America used to be way more a head in technology and communication systems. Now we have sat back and have waited for countries to catch up instead of increasing and becoming unreachable by other countries. Now we are on our heels running with instead of ahead after the other countries like China who have become more advanced and have globalized. Countries like China are starting to educate their children and let them become more and more advanced in the new changing economy. If we don't start changing America will be left behind. Just like the Aztecs and the Romans who slowly decreased into a tiny little stream to other countries or culture who took over them. If we don't change we will be that little stream on that chart taken over by China. We have to think now... do we want that?
